Team Selection Process
Interviews were held on 19th March 2005 after a written test, which consisted of two papers, one on Rotary Information & the other on leadership skills. The personal interview was taken by panel which included stalwarts like District Governor Dr. Ashok Kapadia, GSE Chair Ashok Panjwani, IPDG Kulbandhu Sharma, DGE Ashish Roy, PDG. Hemant Desai, Assistant Governor Shushrut Mankad, Past GSE Team Leader Hitesh Jariwala.

In 30 minutes interview candidates were asked several questions about themselves, past travel experience, Rotary Knowledge, Host country and District. After my selection as a Team leader the panel invited me to join them for taking interview of Team members.

Total 29 applications were received for members. In interview, candidates were asked a series of questions about themselves, their professions, past travel experience, knowledge of Rotary, reasons for their interest in the UK, how they would be able to share the GSE experience after the trip, and any special talents they could share with their hosts in the UK. Candidates were also asked general knowledge questions about UK and what they knew about their professions practiced abroad.

After a lengthy discussion, the interviewing committee agreed on four team members and two alternates. A Brilliant GSE team was selected at a day-long session of interviews held in Bharuch Sports Complex on March 19th 2005. I thank Rotary club of Bharuch for sponsoring the full day event.
