Rotarians invited to RI-UNESCO conference in Paris.
A water conference sponsored by UNESCO and Rotary International will be held on 12 May at UNESCO Headquarters in Paris. RI President Carl-Wilhelm Stenhammar will address the meeting.
In a letter inviting Rotarians, Rotaractors, and guests to the event, RI Vice President Serge Gouteyron explains that attendees will be able to explore opportunities for collaborative projects with the nongovernmental organization.
“Our [Rotary’s] ties with UNESCO, historically, are very close,” Gouteyron says, “and our two organizations share the same two major goals regarding mankind and its future: education and water.”
Although the conference is free, participants must register by 1 May. Due to limited space, registration is first come, first served.
If you are in Paris & interested you can download the registration form and conference schedule. Completed forms should be faxed to 33 -1-45-03-1710 or mailed to RI District 1660, 40 Boulevard Emile Augier, 75116 Paris, France.
