Mega rally for awareness of Diabetes and related problems was organized by RCRM under the auspices of our Diabetic Clinic and was ably supported by all three Rotaract clubs—Kundalia, Christ and R.K Colleges. The Collector of Rajkot flagged off the event as more than 70 vehicles participated in this ‘rapchik’ rally from K.K.V Hall to Shastri Maidan on the busy Sunday evening of 16th November. More than 5000 stickers and 10,000 pamphlets were distributed. This was a fantastic display of service to mankind as RCRM showed just why it is considered brainy, brawny and ‘zara hat ke’.

Diabetes check up camp was held at Race Course Ring Road on 16th November, Sunday for the hoi polloi of Rajkot.

Diabetes detection and Blood Group camp for the media personnel of Doordarshan and All India Radio was carried out during the last week. At both the venues, we had 65 patients each. Pamphlets were distributed for Diabetes awareness at the premium rendezvous of the India-England ODI at Race Course on 14th November.

All the above activities were carried our under the leadership of the ever-sweet yet ‘Cheeni Kum’ Dr. Vibhakar Vachhrajani and he received overwhelming support from Kalpraj,Ashwinbhai Kamdar,Vasantbhai Mehta,Shashibhai Badani,Shailesh Desai,Ketan Kakkad and of course President Vijaybhai and several other Midtowners as well as the staff of Diabetes Clinic. Kudos to all of them.

Interviews were given by Dr. Vibhakar Vachhrajani to AIR, Doordarshan, Big FM and leading newspapers like DivyaBhaskar, Sandesh, Sanj Samachar and others.Besides; he along with Dr. Devangi Vaishnav also served as faculty at the educative seminar on Diabetes for the public at ‘Life’.

Congratulations to Vikrambhai Sanghani on being invited by Rotary International as a faculty for the Humanitarian Grants Cadre to be held at Srilanka on 22nd November. This is indeed a matter of immense prestige and pleasure for RCRM.Vikram, keep on creating such ‘Vikrams’.

Our Rotaract at M.J.Kundalia College has put up a grand Book Exhibition at their campus in Rashtriyashala on occasion of the World Library Week .They have also organized a mega rally on 20th November for school children for awareness regarding library and reading books. This rally will be flagged by Deepak Agrawal and President Vijaybhai Nagrecha at 9.30 am and will proceed to Rotary Midtown Library. These activities are being carried out under the eagle-eyed guidance of our eager and enthusiastic Community Director Smt Banuben Dhakan.Please do join for this unique event.
