DEEPAK AGRAWAL: I joined Rotary in 1990, more as an alternative to spend one of the week-day evenings than having an idea in mind that it will become a part of me. In 1994, we found Our Club, The Rotary Club of Rajkot Midtown and with the birth of my younger daughter I found out, I could love so many things at once.
I became the President who had the privilege to bid farewell to the century with all the Rotarians. :) i.e. in the year 1999.
It has been a long journey, a journey of 20 years in Rotary. And now becoming the unopposed District Governor for the year 2011/2012.
During this while, I have found friends for a life-time. I now know people who know the real meaning of “service above self”, few incredible people who believe in helping the society and through these happenings and meetings, I have a realized that my perspective for lives around me has changed! And changed for something so much good!
I was born on 24th August, 1967 and got married to Minaxi in 1989. We have been blessed with two wonderful daughters, Nupur and Kajal.
I do business in Fashion Jewellery, something for which I get inspiration everyday from my wife and daughters.
