Initial contacts with the host district made it very clear that D1180’s GSE Committee was going all out to organize a first-class experience for the GSE team from Gujarat D3060.

On 20th March 2005 I sent my first e-mail to GSE Chair Mervyn regarding our selection & bio-data. He did a marvelous job. Every minute details were asked & taken care like our food preferences, vocational & Related Info vocational expectations, any special interest etc. etc.

GSE Area coordinator David Barton was the first to send detailed program of our Exchange, which we received, in the last week of March 2005. It was nice to have an e-mail from my host before our schedule departure.

All other GSE Area coordinators including Mervyn Davies for Wirral & Chester, Ian Hogg for Mid Wales & Borders, Andrew Hincliffe for North Wales and Stephen Turner for North Wales East were very co-operative & supportive.

I would like to mention special thanks to Andrew Hincliffe & David Barton for taking very special care of our Team.

An humble suggestion in my D3060 for selections of GSE team is that the district should select their team minimum six months in advance, so that host District gets enough time for arrangements & can plan proper vocational visits.
